Ola has released a video teaser of its new electric scooter
after a long wait. In the 56-second teaser, the company showcased the features
and performance part of the e-scooter. The company's CEO Bhavish Aggarwal posted on
social media about this scooter "reaches 0-60 before you read this tweet! Ready
and not, a revolution is coming!"
Ola Electrical has already set up the world's largest auto electric two-wheeler plant in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu. Here Ola will manufacture around two million electric scooters annually to supply to across Asia, Europe and South American markets apart from domestic demand in India.
Features of Ola Electric Scooter
- The Ola electric scooter will give the range of 150 km in a single charge. It's high speed will be around 90 kmph. This Ola electric scooter will be accompanied with a home charger. Users will be able to charge the scooter from the regular wall socket of home. The company has plans to set up a large electric charging network soon so that electric vehicle users do not face any problem in charging across the country. This year, Ola will try to setup 5000 charging points in 100 major cities.
- Looking at the teaser of the scooter released by Ola, it is quite clear that its model will be the best in market. At the same time it will will be quick too, in terms of speed, it will competition to petrol vehicles. Also, it will have a bigger boot space. The teaser shows two helmets being kept in the boot space of this electric scooter. Normally only one helmet is allowed in the boot space of the scooter.
- The company also claims that fast charger of this scooter will charge 50 percent in 18 minutes . It will give you a range of 75 km. The Ola electric scooter will come with the facility of smartphone connectivity, which will give you the real-time information about the charging status through the Ola Electric app.
Target to sell 10 lakh Ola electric scooters in the first year
The company invested around Rs 2400 crore to build the world's largest auto two-wheeler manufacturing facility. Ola will be pricing this electric scooter very competitive, which definitely will give tough competition to other electric scooters currently present in the market, as the company is trying hard to prove its dominance in the futuristic electric two-wheeler segment of India.
